In 2010, we helped Joe Sestak challenge Senator Arlen Specter in the Democratic primary in Pennsylvania. With the help of our volunteers and fundraising, Sestak beat Specter and came close to beating Pat Toomey in the general election.

Actions for Sestak:

• FUNDRAISING — Our members raised over $20,000 for Sestak’s campaign.
• VOLUNTEERS — Our members made tens of thousands of calls to voters for the Sestak campaign.
• NEWS — Politico: “A liberal political group, the Progressive Change Campaign Committee, went live Wednesday with an online straw poll designed to gauge progressive support for a Democratic primary challenge to Sen. Arlen Specter.”
